In the month of April the weather throughout most of Mexico heats up and this year is seeing an early start to the rainy season in some parts of the country. This is Easter week, known as Semana Santa in Mexico.
This holiday has both religious and secular celebrations – school children enjoy two weeks holiday, and many Mexican families take advantage of the occasion to hit the beaches.
If you’re traveling to a beach destination among others Mexico Travel Destinations; this week and next, you can expect crowds (see travel to México).
